BMTH Blew Me Away
I took my daughter to see her all-time favorite band, BMTH. I've enjoyed their music over the years but seeing them live made me a super fan. (Seeing a band live always either takes me to the next level or brings me down one!) Their stage presence and musical ability was on point. I appreciated especially Oli's genuineness and attention to the fans. He doesn't act like he's as famous as he is, which is a breath of fresh air.
The set list included a little bit of everything. Definitely lots of crowd singing - which is always beautiful.
The pit was pretty intense, but that was to be expected with Knocked Loose opening up for them. But all that craziness just adds to the fun ... just be prepared if you are buying GA tickets for an almost constant stream of crowd surfers! haha
The venue was awesome, perfect size for the experience. I feel like the sound system was having issues - idk if that's normal. The speakers are super high so the vocals were on the quiet side for those of us on the floor. But it didn't ruin my experience.
The security were super nice and good at what they do. They handed our water, which was very kind.
If BMTH releases more dates in the spring we're DEFINITELY going and I am really looking forward to it. It was such a nice break from the monotony and daily grind! I could feel your heart, Bring Me The Horizon. <3
PS - Sorry to the opening bands who were trying to get us amped, we were already amped and saving our energy for Knocked Loose and BMTH!! Trying to pace ourselves! hahaha
